Bear in Heaven - “Reflection of You”

Bear in Heaven

What’s your name?
AW: My name is Adam. When I was a little kid I pronounced it Abam. I still kind of do.
JP: Jon not John
JS: Joe

What’s your band name?
Bear In Heaven, that’s our name.

What do you do in the band?
AW: I play the guitar and I also play the bass. Most people think I just play bass, which either means I stink at guitar or that the bass is just a bigger instrument.
JP: I sing, dance, press buttons, play bass, embarrass band mates.
JS: I play drums.

How many people are in your band?
AW: There are three of us. There use to be six of us, then five of us, Then four of us. We talk about it a lot.
JP: Two people, one animal.
JS: Three men.

Where are you guys from?
AW: The Southeastern region of the US of A, but we’ve been in NYC for over 10 years now.
JP: Originally, Georgia and Alabama but Brooklyn is our home.
JS: Dixie

What’s your favorite T-shirt?
AW: I’m not much of a T-shirt dude. When I was a kid I liked that shirt you’d only find in coastal tourist towns that said something like, “St. Simons Georgia: Beaches! Cool!” and would have a giant shark bite taken out of the side of it along with blood stains.
JP: It’s from a band called Signals. The band name is written vertically and stretched so that it covers the front of the shirt. It’s impossible to read and basically looks like a black and white striped shirt. Not the best advertisement for a band, but it’s a great shirt!
JS: A shirt I got in college in Savannah that says, “age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill,” which I think is pretty stupid but it’s such a comfortable shirt because it’s all old and hole-y that I turn it inside out and wear it that way.

What’s your favorite color?
AW : I like all sorts of colors.
JP: Blue
JS: Braple

Write a tagline for your band:
AW: Breaking the Bongo Barrier and Beyond.
JP: Breaking the bongo barrier before Clive Bonkers.
JS: Gimme that, gimme that, b b b b b b; gimme that gimme that bongo.

Who is your guilty pleasure?
AW: No idea.
JP: Biscuit the sleepwalking dog
JS: Jay Leno. Just kidding, that guy is the worst.

What is your favorite pizza topping?
AW: One time Jon went on a pizza run when we were in Australia. He went rogue and got us a big Hawaiian pie. I thought it was a bad idea, but it wasn’t. It was insanely good. We talk about it still.
JP: Pepperoni, artichoke and pineapple—but not at the same time.
JS: Get real.
